Children keep us company in our old age...and they help us reach it sooner!
Luke is the youngest and the most outgoing of my four children. He is just the right amount of crazy for a little boy, although at 17, he's not so little anymore. Luke is 6'4" and loves, loves, LOVES basketball! Luke plays Varsity Basketball and Baseball for Shen! He's a busy boy! Luke is very social and is never very far from his friends. He is my sunshine!
Ben has been part of the Clifton Park travel baseball program since he was 4! (He is now 19!) In the summer he plays baseball for the Amsterdam Mohawks and The Hayner's Barnstormers. During the school year, Ben plays for St. John Fisher College where he is currently a sophomore. Ben is studying political science and business. He likes writing and reading historical fiction. Ben is very quiet, very shy and very TALL! This boy is 6'5"!
These are my people!
My little butterfly, Allie, on candy duty on Halloween! She graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2018 with a degree in Economics and geography! She studied in Europe while in college and traveled to 9 countries! She is 25 years old and lives in NYC where she works in marketing analytics. Allie has Celiac Disease and must adhere to a strict gluten free diet. As a result of her condition, Allie has always been small. (But she is big on the inside where it matters!) Allie is adventurous!
Cassidy is our oldest - 27! She studied science and calculus at SUNY Oneonta where she graduated in 2015. Cassidy is an employee benefits manager for Schenectady International and recently purchased her first home in Glenville! Cassidy is a hard worker, a good friend, and very cautious. Everybody has always said she looks just like ME! What do you think?
Originally from Long Island, I moved upstate to attend college and I liked it so much, I stayed! I graduated SUNY ONEONTA in 1988 with a degree in Elementary Education which included an N-6 certification. As I started my first job, I began my Masters program at SUNY ALBANY. I majored in Developmental Reading focusing on Early Literacy.
I have been teaching at Scotia-Glenville for 32 years. 18 of those years have been at the first grade level. When the district transitioned to a FULL-DAY kindergarten program, I decided it was time for a change! I have been in kindergarten for 14 years.
My husband, Tim, and I have four children: Cassidy (27), Allie (25), Ben (19), and Luke (17). They keep us busy and humble!
